Welcome letter

Dear Colleagues, Friends, and Art Therapy Enthusiasts,

It is my great pleasure to invite you to the World Art Therapy Festival, which will be held in Prague from September 26th to 28th, 2025. Organized by the MAUT Association, this exciting event offers a unique opportunity to connect with experts and like-minded individuals from across the globe, united by a shared passion for art therapy and its transformative potential.

The festival will center around five key themes, designed to foster deep exploration and reflection:

    1. Interpersonal Relationships and Communication
    2. Self-Development, Self-Awareness, and Self-Confidence
    3. Stress, Burnout, Relaxation, and Releasing Tension
    4. The Present Moment and Virtuality
    5. Psychosomatics

Our aim is to create a space for growth, learning, and connection. We warmly welcome professionals from various fields, including art therapists, educators, psychologists, physiotherapists, doctors, and students, as well as members of the general public who are interested in art therapy, mental well-being, and a healthy lifestyle. Families are also encouraged to join, with activities designed to engage participants of all ages.

Throughout the festival, we will host a diverse range of activities, including workshops, panel discussions, lectures, and creative practice demonstrations. You can expect presentations on innovative approaches, clinical applications of art therapy, ethical considerations, and the integration of art therapy in different cultural contexts. There will be ample opportunities to form new connections, share knowledge, and collaborate on future projects.

This festival is not only about professional development; it’s also a chance to rejuvenate, with creative spaces for relaxation and energy renewal in an environment designed to support mental well-being. Our accompanying cultural and artistic programs will provide moments of inspiration, with opportunities to engage with the local artistic scene and international trends.

I look forward to welcoming you to Prague and to this unforgettable celebration of creativity, healing, and connection.

Warm regards,

PaedDr. Mgr. Marie Beníčková, Ph.D., DT
President, MAUT Association and WATF 2025
